Happy Call Pan

This Happy Call Pan double sided pressure cookware is really hot now. Many friends have use it and give good comments on it. Non stick, no leak, flipping pan, well it's really awesome as I don't have a good pan, so why not just get one and give it a try. (If you are wondering what kinda pan it's check here for the video)

Since there are too many fake pan selling online. After get a confirmation by my friend and survey finally I made my order. Yeah finally I own it now, although the delivery has been delay due to mix up by the courier company. Very attractive price SGD$68 + SGD$6 (postage fee) and it deliver direct from Korea to my doorstep. Overall my ocher deeper pan is quite heavy and troubling when wash it but will try explore it more and made more dishes.

Yeah my boy just turn 3 years old yesterday. For the first time he has cake cutting and celebrate his birthday with his schoolmate. We took an opportunity to drop by his school and took a family photo.

Yesterday we celebrate Cavin 3rd birthday and Mother's day at Thai Garden Village again. I'm getting crazy for Thai food. *laugh

Okay back to the tag, what is my most frequently heard compliment?

1. You have two children? You don’t look like a mom.

So am I look younger than my age? Or I look too childish to be a mother. Well I take this as a compliment.

2. How come you are so slim although you already have 2 children?

It’s not easy to take care 2 children although I have a helpful MIL. Sometime I did compliant to them, am I your maid? Can’t you keep it back yourself after you used it. Gosh ready a hectic life thus I can maintain my “slim” body (laugh) but getting look haggard (sigh)

At last I wish to take this opportunity and pass this reward and tag to Small Kucing.

Half toilet trained

Cavin has been potty trained for a year, seem everything is fine until this few months he keeps wet him pants at school or daycare. I really angry about this and done a lot of reward, scolding, punishing, threatening and etc. But accidents still occur once a while until I get very frustrated and clueless about him.

Then I read an article that clears my doubt. What is fully potty trained? When a child is able to stay dry on his underwear, uses the toilet with help and supervision of adult. That is considered half toilet trained. Fully toilet trained is when a child is able to independently remember to use the toilet, rarely need help and prompting.

So how come my boy that going to turn 3 seem fell back to zero on his toilet trained? His pants is soaked not fully wee wee on it. It means he was not motivated enough to stop his activity to go to the toilet. Sometime it just a small damp on his pants, it’s likely he did notice the urge but was trying to hold on. Seem he has too busy and has many new experiences that distract him till he not paying attention to the signals from his body.

Well need more patience, reminding and time to get him from being half trained to be fully trained.

Her first Piano Adventure

It has been long thinking to send Chloe to piano class. At first she chooses a violin. But when she able to play her first song “Hot Cross Bun” with only 3 black keys, she get in love with piano.

After check with the music school, they recommended Chloe go for group piano class which design for 5 & 6 years kids instead of individual piano lesson. The 2 years course with maximum 6 children per class is rather more fun with activities, longer time (1 hour) and good fundamental for young pianist.

The first impression of piano is important. The first piano lesson for a child should spark enthusiasm and the desire to learn. Yes after the trial class, she is counting down for her actual first piano lesson this Saturday.

It's a fact that piano turn harder and less fun when come to theory and memorize the piano chords. Hope she can go as far as she can.

BTW she is the oldest student in her class. *laugh

First dental visit

Every year government dental clinic will visit Chloe’s school to check the preschoolers’ teeth and teach them how to take care their teeth.

Last month, Chloe passed me a form asks her to visit government dental clinic for further treatment because she has tooth decay.

I never notice she has tooth decay other than she broke a tiny hole on her lower molar when she ate peanut. I check further and found a black spot on her upper molar. It’s too deep and I can’t see clearly.

Since last Friday is Easter and both of them off, I brought them to the dental clinic. Although I have told Chloe what will the dentist do, but she still fell a little bit nervous.  

Finally it was Chloe’s turn. She lay on the dental chair and the dentist start to check her teeth. Counted 4 decay teeth, that is a lot. How come I never realize it?

Then the dentist took the “Mr. Whistle” (high-speed handpiece) and start removed all the tooth decay. The high-pitched whistling sound really scary to me, luckily Chloe lay quietly and let the dentist did her work. Within few minute, it was done. 2 teeth been filled and 2 more to go the next visit.

When the big sister has finished, now is the brother’s turn. Cavin lay down and let the dentist check his teeth. Dentist has problem dealing with Cavin as he can’t open wide his mouth. I need to hold his jaw and keep asking him to open BIG. Due to his age, the dentist did not drill the tooth decay. She just cleans it and fills it up. For the front teeth decay, she can’t do anything other then applied fluoride gel on his whole set of teeth. It helps to slower the tooth decay.

Both they have a good experience with their first dentist visit. Their granny was surprise because Chloe is brave to handle the drill from “Mr. Whistle”.

Children Thought : Close eyes when kissing

Traffic turn red and I stopped my car. Cuddling my little girl and we kiss lips to lips.

Then I told her, oh no everyone around us can see we were kissing.

My cheeky girl replied, never mind we close our eyes when kissing.

This is how a 5 years old girl’s thought. “I can’t see you, you can’t see me”

Bruised black eye

Last school holiday, I brought the children back to my mom house and overnight there. 

On the night before we return back home, Chloe fell down and knocked on her brow bone. She was standing on the resting chair, imbalance and fall in front. Unfortunately she knocked on the wooden sofa chair in front of her. We faster checked her eye, no cut and blood but her brow bone already turn blue black. So we applied ice on the bruises to stop the inner bleeding before brought her to clinic. 

After 1-2 hours the bruises getting bigger like a goose egg. Doctor said keep cold compress and the bruises and hematoma will recover after 1 week.

Chloe's eye look so terrible and keep complaint the hematoma is painful until she can't sleep well. We have no choice to seek consultation from Chinese doctor, hopefully any med or way to let the bruise and hematoma subside faster. 

The Chinese doctor prescribed some med for blood circulation. Due to Chloe very uncomfortable with hot compress, so the doctor asked us to compress the hematoma with cactus. Cactus is a good ingredient to subside bruises and inflammation.    

Any type of cactus is workable

Remove the thorns & skin and chop it.
Put on a facial cotton and apply on the hematoma overnight.
